World’s First National EV Recharging Network

Within less than a year and a half the UK will have its first National Recharging Network allowing electric vehicle (EV) drivers to travel throughout most of the country without worrying about running out of power. In all, EV charge stations are to be installed in 30 Welcome Break car service stations across the country. Each installation will have one standard charge point and one express point. The grid, which is being produced by the Ecotricity company, is expected to be the world’s first national recharging network.
